Summer 2026 bridal beauty is all about looking like you, just elevated. As a Dublin-based bridal makeup artist, I’m seeing a real shift towards fresh, radiant skin, soft definition, and makeup that enhances rather than masks.

The biggest trend with my brides this year is a move away from heavy, structured looks towards something more effortless and modern. Skin is the focus — luminous, breathable, and beautifully real. Instead of full coverage, it’s about strategic placement: light layers where needed, while allowing natural texture to show through. Freckles, glow, and skin movement are all very much in.

Soft sculpting has replaced harsh contour. Cream-based products blend seamlessly into the skin, creating shape without obvious lines. The result is polished, refined, and completely wearable — perfect for bridal makeup that lasts all day and photographs beautifully.

And then there’s the lip — one of my favourite trends this season. Inspired by artists like Nina Park, the “blurred lip” is replacing the traditional sharply defined bridal lip. It’s softly diffused, slightly imperfect, and incredibly flattering. A gentle wash of colour is pressed into the lips, with blurred edges that create a romantic, modern finish.

For brides, this works beautifully. It wears naturally throughout the day — no harsh lines, no obvious fading — just a soft, effortless look that evolves gracefully from ceremony to evening.
